To our valued clients and partners,

As this situation unfolds around the globe, we remain committed to our goal of delivering a consistent, superior client experience, and helping to minimize the impacts on your organization.

We continue to monitor the situation daily, and remain in close touch with our partners, suppliers and government agencies. We are committed to providing timely updates as we have them, and encourage you to watch for updates on our dedicated web page ‒ elementfleet.com/covid19.

Today I want to address the ways we are working with you to help you manage your fleet during these times. We appreciate that some of your organizations are undergoing changes, including, in some cases, temporary changes to your fleet management teams. We are here to help. If you are new to fleet management, or a seasoned veteran, we want to support you in navigating these challenging times.

We’ve added new tools and resources to help you stay current:
  • Webinars – We are launching a webinar series to support clients on Xcelerate, our central hub to view all of your fleet data. This is perfect for beginners, and a great refresher training if you need it. You can sign up here: https://elementfleet.zoom.us/calendar/list
  • Fleet Management Primer – We’ve also built a Fleet Management primer which will give you a high-level summary of the things you need to know if you are new to fleet management.
  • Market Trends and Considerations – The market is shifting, and while it’s different depending upon your industry, there are key considerations that we want to help you think through. We’ve added a briefing to our website to help you anticipate and prepare for changes.
Remarketing
One of the most common questions we are receiving is about remarketing. As teams work from home around the world, and as governments continue with shelter-in-place directives, sales activity is low, and will likely remain low through the end of May. In the short term, we expect supply will increase as a result of weeks of held over sales, combined with lower demand due to consumers having limited disposable income for vehicle purchases. Accordingly, we are advising clients to hold off on any dispositions until resale markets are fully re-established. We recognize the impacts of this will differ based on your unique situation, and we encourage you to reach out to us to discuss specific implications.

Title & Registration
We are committed to doing all we can to keep you informed while providing you with the best possible service during these times. Our internal Title & Registration teams are fully operational and working closely with state and local jurisdictions to continue processing transactions, where capabilities still exist. Since every state and local jurisdiction is operating on a different schedule, we will continue to send automated pre-requisite letters to our drivers and clients informing them of what is required to process their registration renewal or title transaction. We understand that there may be limitations in fulfilling certain required pre-requisites due to a variety of reasons, so we’ve prepared some guidance which you can find here and are committed to providing assistance to help you work through any specifics for your fleet.

As always, the safety of our people, clients, and your drivers, are paramount. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if we can provide additional information and support. Stay well.

Sincerely,

Jim Halliday
